Denali Explorers serves young children ages 3-5 in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley that require emotional, social and behavioral support.
Services Provided
On Site Programs: Each Denali Explorers location offers morning and afternoon sessions at Denali Family Services facilities. Behavioral Health Associations (BHAs) facilitate games and activities, teach social and emotional skills, and provide opportunities for children to practice those skills in a safe, supportive and fun environment.
Community Preschool Support: A BHA can provide behavioral support within preschools and early learning centers. The BHA works with the child during their time at preschool and encourages healthy development and social skills.
Case Management: Case management services assist children and their families in gaining access to community services and additional support.
Clinical: Clinical services include mental health assessments, individual, family and group therapy, as well as medication management if appropriate.
