Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and sometimes our youngest children need a little extra support. Denali Explorers, a specialized early childhood behavioral health program, helps children ages 3 to 5 experiencing emotional, social, or behavioral challenges.

First established in Anchorage in 2001, Denali Explorers now serves families in Anchorage and is designed for children who may struggle with anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, challenging behaviors, or difficulty adjusting to preschool and daycare environments.

Denali Explorers provides a nurturing, therapeutic setting where children can develop essential skills, build confidence, and experience success.

Denali Explorers offers a specialized day program with individualized services, including counseling, behavioral health support, care coordination, family support, and skill development through DFS’s comprehensive wraparound model of care. By addressing challenges early, we help children strengthen their social and emotional skills while empowering families with the tools and resources they need. We encourage Anchorage-area preschools, childcare providers, early childhood educators, and community partners to share this valuable resource with families whose children may benefit from additional support.
