Yvonne M. Chase, PhD, is the President/CEO of Denali Family Services and has served in that capacity since May 2006.   Her prior experience includes serving as deputy commissioner for two state departments in Alaska and one in Washington State.  Yvonne holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Chicago, a Masters in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and a Doctorate in Social Work from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia. 

Yvonne has over 25 years of experience in mental health and child welfare.  She served two terms on the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse and on the US Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Neglect.  She is an active member of the National Association of Social Workers and has served in several leadership capacities in that association.  She is also a former Chair of the Governing Body of Alaska Psychiatric Institute.
