Chris is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in the Mat-Su Valley.  Chris graduated from Susitna Valley High School in Talkeetna, AK, then went on to complete his undergraduate and graduate studies in education and English at the University of Alaska in Anchorage.  Following a brief stint as a teaching assistant and adjunct instructor at U.A.A., Chris began his career in behavioral health as a direct care provider in a residential psychiatric treatment center, and then transitioned into training and staff development.  In his spare time, Chris serves as a member of the Tanaina Child Development Center Board of Directors, and enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his wife and their three children.
